The 7th BGCE Student Paper Prize has been awarded to Mrs. Elizabeth Qian (MIT, Boston, USA) and Mrs. Zakia Zainib (SISSA, Trieste, Italy) for their contributions “From Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations to Low-dimensional Polynomial Approximations” and “Reduced Order Methods for Parametrized Optimal Flow Control: applications to coronary artery bypass grafts assimilated with patient-specific data”, respectively (see summary of the event published in Quartl (p. 28)).
Congratulations!
Since 2007, this is the second time that 2 prizes are awarded (in Olympics, this would be two gold medals :-)).

Both prize winners have visited FAU and TUM in summer 2019.

The 2019 opening weekend of the whole “BGCE family” took place at the hotel Jäger von Fall at the lake Sylvenstein.

On December 07, 2018, this year’s ENB graduation ceremony took place in Augsburg. In a celebratory ambiance, also several BGCE students were present to receive their ENB certificates (Fotos: Florian Freund).

The 6th BGCE Student Paper Prize has been awarded to Mr. Robert Gantner (ETH, Switzerland) for his contribution on “Quasi-Monte Carlo Uncertainty Quantification for Partial Differential Equations with Random Input” (see summary of the event published in Quartl). Congratulations!
Robert Gantner has visited FAU and TUM on July 3-7, 2017.

Applications for the 6th BGCE Student Paper Prize have been possible until December 11, 2016.

As every year, BGCE sent a brave and glorious team to the Elite Cup.
Players from all 3 locations (Erlangen, München and Garching) joined forces for a very good 5th place. Besides, BGCE was the only team who succeeded to arrive in the quarter finals with 3 won games in the group stage. And, we managed to beat FIM 1, the winner of the Elite Cup of 2016!
